Space to Move
In the MV™ Series, you’ll find that there are three options for the cab that give you different amounts of space.
The Extended Cab gives you an additional 26” of space so you can have an extra passenger if needed. You’ll have about 40” of headroom, so if you’re tall, you won’t have to worry about having to slouch so you don’t hit your head. It’s also 82” wide so if you do have passengers, you won’t have to squash in the seats.
The Day Cab also has a headroom of about 40” and an 82” width. An added space benefit in the Day Cab is a full 30” of legroom for driver and passengers. Stiff knees, say goodbye.
The Crew Cab is an option for rear passenger room in the cab. It has a 44” extension to allow for that rear space, so everyone inside can be comfortable on the drive. This is the best option if you have a crew that you work with, but if you don’t, it might not be necessary.
Improved Visibility
When you get in the cab of the MV™ Series International Trucks, you’ll look to your left and right and realize that you can see more out of the windows. The windows are a bit longer to give you more visibility of the road around and behind you. This gives you added safety on the road and helps protect other drivers as well.
Easier Switches
On the dash of the MV™ Series are several switches that can be customized based on driver’s needs. You’re probably used to switches like these in the other trucks you’ve driven, but something you’ll like about these switches is that they’ve been made a bit bigger than they used to be. This is to make it easier for you to grip the switches even when you have gloves on.
The labels on these switches have been made bigger as well so they’re easier to read while you drive, and they’re backlit so you can still read them when you’re driving at night.
Comfortable Interior Extras
When you get inside the MV™ Series to test it out at an International Trucks dealer, you’ll immediately appreciate the interior comfort and extras. Soft vinyl seats, double visors, and double cupholders are just the start.
In some MV™ Series trucks, the ones with the Premium Trim, you also find speakers, reading lights, and standard cab sound insulation to give you extra comfort and safety on the road, no matter what time of day you’re driving.
International Trucks Reliable Performance
Of course, as nice as a comfortable interior is in a truck, you also need to pay attention to the workings of the truck. Every MV™ Series truck is built with high-quality materials to make the truck run smoothly and last a long time. But there are a couple of features in the MV™ Series trucks that make them stand out.
Cummins Engines
Every MV™ Series truck has a Cummins engine in it. They come with one of two options. The first option, the Cummins B6.7, is the best-selling engine for medium-duty trucks, and for good reason. It’s extremely reliable and fuel-efficient. The B6.7 also has 520-800 lb.-ft torque and 200-360 horsepower.
The second option is the Cummins L9 engine, and it’s equal to the B6.7 in dependability. It’s also known for having a longer service life than many other engines on the market. The L9 features 720-1,250 lb.-ft torque and 260-380 horsepower.
Diamond Logic
One of the top features of the MV™ Series is the inclusion of Diamond Logic, an electrical system that helps automate trucks and track diagnostics for better performance. The particular features vary somewhat depending on the type of MV™ Series truck you’re using.
Let’s look at an example - if you drive a dry van, Diamond Logic can make it easier to lower and stow the lift gate, can help manage battery discharge, and can alert you of any thefts or cab door lock problems.
